It has been a while since you have seen high-schoolers of Euphoria on HBO. Four years after the second season of the fan-favorite show became the most watched TV show at HBO after Game of Thrones, Euphoria will return with another season on April 12th. Euphoria Season 3 is highly anticipated, and is expected to be its last.
The original series created by Sam Levinson followed an ensemble of teenagers as they dealt with sexuality, addiction, love, grief, body image, and generational trauma. However, season 3 will begin with a multi-year time jump which basically means that the characters are no longer in high school anymore and will be facing life’s challenges and relationships as young adults.
We will have to see what that means for characters like Jules (played by Hunter Schafer), Rue (played by Zendaya), Cassie (played by Sydney Sweeney), Maddy (played by Alexa Demie), and Nate (played by Jacob Elordi). It is likely that this will be the last season where we will see these characters. We will see them navigate adulthood over the course of eight episodes.
While HBO has not commented anything about this being the final season. The lead actress Zendaya (also known for her role as MJ in the MCU’s Spiderman franchise) believes that the closure is coming for her and her castmates. She revealed on The Drew Barrymore show that she is emotionally connected to Euphoria, she has learned so much from her character “Rue” and the crew has practically seen her grow up.
The Head of Drama at HBO Francesca Orsi revealed to Deadline that fans will be happy with what they will see in Euphoria season 3.
About the fact that whether this will be the end of the show or not, Orsi revealed that as per the discussion, it seems that it is. But “nothing is over until it is over.”
